American Delegation of Savoy Orders held an Investiture Ceremony on Saturday, December 6, and Procession and Mass on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.

Since the founding of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus in 1572 and, more
recently, the establishment of the Order of Merit of Savoy, solemn investiture
ceremonies have remained a time-honored tradition—marking the admission of Knights and Dames into the service of the Royal House.

These rites were presided over by His Royal Highness Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy, Prince of Venice, Prince of Naples, Duke of Savoy, Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, and in the presence of the American Delegates His Royal Highness Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Cavaliere di Gran Croce, and Dott. John Laurent J. Gelati, Cavaliere di Gran Croce, and further graced by the attendance of honored guests.

During the investiture, candidates processed to the calls of trumpets, wore the mantle of the Order, and were presented individually before the Grand Master. They received their diplomas and insignia and publicly pledged to uphold the noble values and statutes of the Orders—faith, loyalty, and charity—which have guided the Savoy Orders for centuries. The ceremony continued with a Mass, invoking blessings upon the candidates and the Orders themselves.

In conclusion, newly invested members joined a processional of Knights and Dames, warmly embraced by the assembly.
