On the evening of May 2, 2026, the prestigious Downtown Jonathan Club in Los Angeles hosted the Eighth Annual Notte di Savoia, a distinguished spring charity gala organized by The American Foundation of Savoy Orders. Welcoming more than 170 esteemed guests in its largest-ever edition, the event once again affirmed its place among the most refined and exclusive philanthropic gatherings in Southern California.

The evening was held under the patronage and in the presence of His Royal Highness Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, Prince Grand Master, Duke of Savoy, Prince of Piedmont, Prince of Venice, whose attendance lent both historical significance and personal commitment to the charitable mission of the Order.

This year’s gala benefited The Shroud of Turin: An Immersive Experience at Christ Cathedral, an ambitious initiative funded by a non-profit organization designed to bring one of the world’s most studied and venerated relics to life through a contemporary, educational exhibition. Over $150,000 in donations were made to the Shroud of Turin Immersive Experience, specifically funding the attendance of all seventh-grade students in the Diocese of Orange and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to this one-of-a-kind multimedia presentation.

Their Imperial Highnesses Prince Yisehak Fikre Selassie and Princess Asqual Teferi of Ethiopia attended and supported the cause.

Guests arrived at 6 PM for a cocktail reception, elegantly dressed in white tie or black tie, with decorations and insignia reflecting the chivalric heritage of the Savoy Orders. The evening continued with a formal dinner and dancing from 7 to 10 PM, followed by an exclusive after-glow cordial, offering a relaxed and intimate conclusion to the festivities.

The event was chaired by Dame Grand Cross Florentina McClory, Knight Grand Cross Daniel J. McClory, and Commendatore Mike Gatto, whose dedication and leadership contributed to an evening of exceptional organization and purpose.

With over 170 attendees from the worlds of philanthropy, culture, and international society, the gala underscored the enduring relevance of the Savoy Orders’ mission: to preserve tradition while actively supporting meaningful charitable initiatives.

The distinguished guest list included notable figures from various sectors, enhancing the evening's prestige and reflecting the cause's broad appeal. Several prominent businesspeople, actors and actresses, and members of the media were present.

The Eighth Annual Notte di Savoia concluded as a resounding success—an evening where elegance, history, and generosity came together in support of a cause that bridges past and present.
