A Thousand Years of Heritage
Royal House of Savoy
The Royal House of Savoy is one of the oldest royal dynasties in Europe. and marked the millennium of its founding in 2003.
Its pedigree traces back to a historical figure living in 1003, Umberto Biancamano, "Whitehanded," whose descendants would continue to expand for the next ten centuries. The dynasty's ultimate achievement was the unification of the Italian peninsula under its rule in 1861.
Today, his descendant, H.R.H. Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, Duke of Savoy, Prince of Piedmont, Prince of Venice, is the Head of the House of Savoy & Grand Master of the Savoy Orders.
American Foundation of Savoy Orders
As a charitable organization, the Foundation's mission, history and grant-making are rooted in supporting local, national and international charities across medical, educational and humanitarian fields.
The mission of the Savoy Orders is to strengthen and spread the chivalric spirit in the contemporary era through dedication and solemn commitment to humanitarian ideals, mainly the protection of the sick, the poor and the weak.
American Delegation of Savoy Orders
Headquartered in New York City, the American Delegation is among the 36 delegations of the Savoy Orders located throughout Europe, the Americas, and Japan.
The Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus and the Order of Merit of Savoy remain alive today, epitomizing the dynasty's medieval spirit while supporting very modern charitable works across Italy, Switzerland, France, Japan, Canada and the United States. Chivalry lives.
