The 2025 Capitolo Generale and Investiture Gala of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy unfolded in Rome as a magnificent celebration of chivalry, heritage,
and service. Members and dignitaries from across the globe passed through the symbolic Jubilee Celebration Doors at the Basilica of St. John Lateran, marking twenty-five years of renewed devotion and unity within the Orders.
The investiture ceremony was held at the majestic Pontifical Lateran University, where distinguished Knights and Dames of the Orders of Saints Maurice and Lazarus and the
Order of Merit were formally presented before the Grand Master and the Royal Family. The candidates, received their diplomas and insignia, pledging publicly to uphold the
noble statutes and values that have guided the Savoy Orders for centuries.
On Saturday evening, the tradition of fellowship and charity was celebrated with an
exclusive Gala Dinner held in the historic Sistine Wards—a rare architectural masterpiece opened solely for the Dames and Knights of the Orders. The night furthered the Orders’ charitable commitments, with benefactions supporting the
Apostolic Almoner of the Holy See.
The following day, members and guests processed to the Pantheon for a grand ceremonial gathering, affirming their shared mission and honoring the age-old legacy of the Savoy chivalric tradition amid Rome’s most venerable sites. Additionally, there
was a charitable luncheon at the Nuovo Circolo degli Scacchi, a prestigious venue in Rome, uniquely opened for the Chapter's closing festivities.
This memorable Capitolo united history, faith, and philanthropy, opening the Jubilee doors and culminating in splendid celebration at some of Rome’s most noble venues.
